Roberson Theater

Before

This room was already used as a media room for this family. They had

a 70" Projection TV with no audio. We added crown molding to the room

as you can see here being installed.

At this phase you can see the crown is complete and also in the tray as

well. The eyeball light fixtures being installed will accent the movie 

posters that will be added. Also notice the wall outlets in this photo

as they will be absent in the complete photos for a cleaner look,

In this photo you can see the trim is complete and the in ceiling surround

speaker holes have been cut out and are ready for speakers. Also we 

have a in wall accent light fixture in back wall and both side walls for

walking areas during movie viewing.

The Screen Innovation Black Diamond Screen with the Sim2 HT 380

Projector really are a great fit for this multi purpose theater. The family

wanted a room that they could enjoy movies as well as just watch their

favorite TV shows at night. The screen has a very reflective surface so

it is very hard to photo but can be watched with all lights on full blast 

and an amazingly bright picture.

We used a fabric provided by the home owners designer for the acoustic

panels that separate the clients movie posters that were very important

in the colors chosen for the room.

Definitive Technology speakers were used for the 7.1 system and 

provide a very cinematic experience. Also we did not want the projector 

to drop from a pole and disturb the tray ceiling in any way so we built

a box to place projector in with plenty of fans for ventilation.

The equipment cabinet constructed of 3/4" birch is very solid and is out

of sight from the rest of the room. We also installed a Grafik Eye lighting

control and tied it to the touchscreen remote with multiple lighting 

scenes for different viewing modes.
